Talos Engineered Products is the leading manufacturer of pre-engineered and custom-engineered material handling conveyor equipment and accessories. Our primary focus is providing exceptional value to our customers through excellent customer service, thoughtful engineering, quality manufacturing, and timely delivery. Our standardized products cover the majority of the requirements inside the four walls of a parcel distribution center; welded and bolted style material handling belt conveyor, light and heavy duty gravity conveyor, straight and spiral chutes, platforms, and accessory items. When standard components don’t quite fit the bill, Talos can call on our team of highly experienced engineers and fabricators to deliver that custom component that brings everything together.
Talos Exists to show how business can improve lives!
We aim to live our Purpose and to positively impact all of our stakeholders: our team, our customers, our suppliers, our shareholders, and the world we live in. This is a lofty goal, and we can only succeed with a high level of personal commitment and optimistic energy from every team member. We know this isn’t for everyone, and that’s ok; we want to help everyone find the place where they fit best, even if it’s not here.
Treat others the way you’d like to be treated. Be honest. Be loyal. Be trustworthy. Be kind. Seek to understand the people around you, first as humans and then in the roles they serve. Forgive quickly and give people a second chance.
Tackle your work with a sense of urgency. Plan your work, make good use of your time, and try to pro-actively prevent problems before they arise. Be a person who others can count on to get the job done. When you encounter a challenge, be tenacious and persistent in finding a solution that you’re proud of. Know when you need help, and ask for it.
Know how your role fits in the work that we do, and do your best for the good of the team. Speak truthfully and fully; don’t let important thoughts go unsaid. Encourage others to do their best. Know that you can (and should!) challenge someone’s work without criticizing their character.
Don’t regard yourself more important or special than others. Be willing to contribute more than you demand in return. Look for opportunities to help others just because it’s the right thing to do. Be helpful in cleaning up messes, even if you didn’t create them. Do what you can to help make other peoples’ jobs a little easier.
Be personally proud of the work you do, and try like crazy to never let a teammate down. When you stumble, don’t brush it off or blame others. You should take it personally, and it should feel bad. Work quickly to make it right. Then ask yourself: “what could I have done differently that would have led to a better outcome?” and try that the next time.
Be ‘constructively disruptive’ by always looking for better ways to do things, large and small, even if it’s not about ‘your job’. Expect the best in the future. Share your ideas, contribute to the solution, and do the hard work of turning good ideas into permanent realities.
Aim high, both personally and professionally. Approach each day as an opportunity to learn. Seek the wisdom of others. Listen actively and with an open mind. Trust the good intent of a person who is delivering a message that you might not want to hear. Be willing to do the hard work of personal growth.
